With so many plans for the Fourth being centered around outdoor activities, I thought this would be a great opportunity to remind everyone how vitally important sunscreen really is.  We've all read the articles and know that we should be wearing sunscreen....but here are a few quick reminders WHY it is so very important.

• The number one cause of both skin damage and aging is sun exposure
• Skin damage from sun exposure continues to build up over time...even without an actual sunburn
• You don't have to be lounging or sunbathing in the sun to have or develop sun damage on your skin

Bottome line ladies....use it or loose it (that youthful glow at least)!  Use sunscreen everyday.  Make it part of your daily routine and do your research to find the best suited sunscreen for both your lifestyle and skin type.  It may take a few tries before you find that perfect sunscreen for you, so don't get frustrated.  It's the BEST thing you can do to prevent skin cancer, wrinkles, and sun spots.

Here are a few of my favorite sunscreens that we carry at BeautyStoreDepot:

2.  Skin Medica Environmental Defense Sunscreen SPF 50 - I recently used this while we were on vacation and hanging out by the pool all day long.  Typically, I would need to reapply sunscreen after water exposure, sweat, etc...but much to my surprise not with this sunscreen! 
3. Dermologica Super Sensitive Sunblock SPF 30 - If you have incredibly sensitive skin...then look no further!
4. Obagi-C RX System Sungard SPF 30 - This is my personal fave!  I use this everyday and LOVE it!  It's the only sunscreen I have found that doesn't break me out with daily use.  LOVE THIS SUNSCREEN!!!

There are so many to choose from on the market today, so do your research.  A block IS better than a screen, the recent hype about the potential hazards of use are FAR lower than NOT using, READ THE DIRECTIONS on your product (often times you should reapply thoughout the day or the sunscreen should actually go on after NOT before makeup on many products)...these are just a few tidbits that may help you in selecting your perfect sunscreen!
