"New Year, New Me", am I right beautystoredepot divas?!  In the spirit of the New Year, let's get our skin into the right regimen to perfect our flawless faces! With so many options on the market, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. As someone who is beginning to combat premature signs of aging and maintain my skin's smooth texture, these are the 3 primary product-types I recommend and incorporate into my routine that will benefit those with similar skincare concerns. 

     First, you'll want to begin incorporating a peptide based serum and/or concentrate into your skincare. Peptides assist with so many things, but primarily they help to instantly combat fine lines. Some of my beautystoredepot.com favorites for this are G.M. Collin Bota-Peptide 5 Concentrate along with the Bota-Peptide Eye Contour for the more delicate skin around the orbital area. The Bota-Peptide products provide non-invasive “dermo-intervention” clinically proven to reduce expression lines and wrinkles. Also, Dermalogica recently released they're AMAZING Phyto-Nature Firming Serum that works wonderfully as a nighttime treatment. Phyto-Nature Serum contains sapphire-bound biomimetic peptides help firm skin and reinforce skin defenses to counter visible signs of skin aging. Additionally, these peptides help to enhance the efficacy of the Hyaluronic Acid contained in the formula boosting hydration in the skin helping with suppleness.

      Next, you'll want to look into incorporating an antioxidant based serum. Antioxidants assist in combating premature aging caused by extrinsic factors such as UV exposure, free radicals and environmental pollutants. When exposed, the skin experiences DNA damage with a decomposition in molecular structure. When the antioxidants are applied and absorbed they counter the decomposition incurred by these stressors. A personal favorite of mine is Osmosis' Antioxidant Infusion Serum because not only does correct damage but also assists in boosting collagen (and we can ALWAYS do with a little extra of collagen).

     Finally, a 2-in-1 product that I adore is Revision Skincare's Vitamin C Lotion 15%. This helps to address the increasing dryness aging skin experiences as well as incorporates the benefits of Vitamin C with their THD Ascorbate! This crème de la crème Vitamin C is a highly stabilized form of Vitamin C. Vitamin C helps brighten the skin fighting against any age/sun spotting.  It is best to start using Vitamin C products when you begin to notice any hyperpigmentation and/or fine lines on the skin.
