Tips for Applying Makeup with Glasses
Mastering top makeup looks can be challenging, especially if you wear glasses. Follow our 4 simple tips to get a great look.
- Use powder foundation. When you wear a liquid or cream foundation, it can create buildup on your nose, which then transfers to the underside of your glasses. A great powder foundation will stay in place and keep your skin looking flawless. For extra staying power, use a setting mist after applying your makeup.
- Use eyeliner to your advantage. Sometimes your eyes get a little lost behind your glasses. Define them by applying soft liner to the bottom lashline and a thicker line on the top lashline. To help brighten and contour the eye area, add just a touch of white liner, shadow or highlighter to the inner corners of eyes.
- Curl your eyelashes. Long lashes are great, but can get in the way when you wear glasses. To keep your lashes from hitting your glasses, curl them then apply volumizing mascara (not lengthening!). Volumizing mascara, like glo Skin Beauty Volumizing Mascara, will thicken lashes, helping them curl easier and hold the curl for longer. Thicker lashes will also help your eyes pop behind those frames.
- Add a pop of color to your lips. Whether you tend to keep your eye look simple or dramatic, adding a pop of color to the lips is a fun way to pull your look together. You can go the traditional route of a liner and lipstick or swipe on a shiny gloss for extra fun.
